Time to catch up!

It's been great! Tonight, finally had the chance to catch up with one one my old friends from high school.

It's always great to see old friend and get to know what happening with them and so on..

Everyone has been busy with work and it really hard to find time that matches all. Especially for those who had family and children and so on, like me.

We had a wonderful dinner and bottle of red wine. Talk about everything from work to whatever we can find topic to say.

I hope to do so often, at least few months to catch up with friends.

It's a pity that I didn't bring my camera tonight.

My little one are growing up fast!

It's late afternoon. On my way back, I saw a mother carrying a little baby on her shoulder. Suddenly the thought of my little one came into my mind. The little body holding on to my shoulder, that moment seems and felt like yesterday.

They are growing so fast that some time we just miss out the moment of their growing. Time really flies.

Brian Cancer - the poor little ones

Tonight, I saw a documentary. It's about Brian Cancer that children as early as the age of 4, 6, 12 age group had conducted, undergoing medication to control the cancer from spreading.

As the standard of living increases, the amount of time spend on work are taking a huge part. Maybe it time to take a step back and spare some time with your family, love ones.

I cannot image the amount of pain that these cancer children had gone through. My heart just ache and I felt so upset with the thought of it.

As the show say: "these cancer children are living on borrow time.."
One of the children quoted: " Life is more valuable, precious and not takes life for grant and can live today is a blessing...”

Are we taking thing in life for granted? Think again!

I just think of my little one at these very moment..

Common types of childhood

Leukaemia is the cancer of the blood-forming cells. These abnormal, immature white blood cells start to grow abundantly and invade other tissues and organs. They also crowd out and slow the production of normal blood cells (white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets) in the bone marrow. The most common form of Leukaemia among young children is Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.

Brain tumour

It is the most common type of solid tumours in children. It forms when cells in the brain or nervous system start growing abnormally and clump together to form a tumour which then disrupts the normal brain functions.

Lymphoma

It is the cancer of the lymph glands which starts in the lymphoid tissue found all over the body. Lymphoma causes swelling of lymph nodes in the neck, armpit and groin. There are two broad varieties of lymphoma: Hodgkin's disease and Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, the latter being more common in children.

Other types of childhood cancer

Osteosarcoma - cancer of the boneNeuroblastoma - cancer of the sympathetic nervous system.Wilms' Tumour- cancer of the kidney
